Remember when I took you on a tour here of the guy who was building an island made entirely out of plastic bottles?
It looks like he has now found a permanent home in the lagoon out on Sac Bajo.
Take a look at what he has accomplished.

I saw this in April. Pretty amazing! More can be read about Richie Sowa and his story here http://www.spiralislanders.com/
Certainly an improvement from your last report. How did he find a permanent home (place to float on)? Is the island growing?
Huh?
Although this is relative to yesterday's posting, I wanted to make sure you saw it:

I see a rhetorical device in the making. Tornadoes are drawn to trailer parks; hurricanes are drawn to plastic islands.
Wow .. what a great job. Does he live there?
Waaaay cool.
The island is growing...rather poised to grow. It is now registered as a barge and is in safe harbor for hurricane season. Yes, Rishi does live there. He gigs at Casa Louise Ixchel dining rooms on Friday nights.
And all the bottles picked from Playa Norte yesterday are at the island, waiting to be put in fishnets under some part of the island.
I had the pleasure of an invite Ritchie's island back when he was in Puerto Aventuras. He's a fascinating guy. I'm happy to see him up and floating again.
Pass on the solar-oven cake if it's offered to you.
