Fast Boats

If you drive south out of town, just across from the Naval station you'll see this line up of fast boats.

Usually there are only two or three of them moored there. Recently the collection has been growing and growing.

Now where in the world could have all these boats, outfitted with three super-size fast motors, have come from? And what could they have been used for that they would need these powerful motors? Seems pretty obvious to me.

Hmmm... I know they were used to bring those cheap limes over to Isla.

Seems like Isla becomes more of a source of intrigue daily ..... (where's Bogie and Lauren when you need them???)

(You need to start wearing a white suit and white fedora more often ..... and don't forget the pencil mustache and long, skinnie cheroot....)

Being a sailboat person the thought of the fuel bill for those barges frightens me - no boating is cheap.

Perhaps they are used to go around the island - tour guide wise the faster the better for the duenos.

It is my understanding that those boats have all be confiscated as a result of legal violations.

LOL Jackie!!!

Too bad they don't sell them all to help alleviate the effects of the low tourist activity!

Gas is cheaper on Isla, I suppose.

Some clever answers! These are boats that have been confiscated from people dealing in drug and human trafficing. The boats are now the property of the Navy. Rumor has it that once the culprit(s) have been sentenced, the boats are given away to high ranking officers and politicians as gifts.
