End of the Season

Well, for us, high season visitor time has now ended. B just left to drive his sister and brother-in-law to the ferry. On their way to the airport and back to Buffalo, NY. We still have plenty of people to meet and greet for the cabana, but friends and family for the season have now all come and gone. Kind of sad.

On the burglar front, no new news. Which is good. Nobody around here is getting any good sleep though. Every little noise has us up and at the windows. It's terrible. I feel like I have been robbed of my life. Everything has changed. We are no longer so naive as to think crime won't touch us. I think the investigators have been around to talk to the neighbors because we are getting a steady stream of Mexicans stopping in front of the neighbors, where the fight took place. Much discussion and gesticulation goes on, but nobody says anything to us. I think they are just retelling the story. I bet by the time the story gets all around, J will have half killed the guy. We do know that he is pretty badly hurt. We just don't know where he is.

Not sure what the day holds for us today. Probably catching up on some chores that have been neglected while we had company. Like laundry. Fun stuff. Better get to it.
