From the outside at least, I think this is one of the nicest looking hotels downtown. It is the Posada del Mar and has been around for years and years. I love the new paint job.

WE LEFT THE RAT RACE EIGHT YEARS AGO AND RETIRED TO THIS LITTLE ISLAND IN THE CARIBBEAN. THIS IS MY ACCOUNT OF THE TRIALS, TRIBULATIONS, AND LITTLE JOYS OF LIVING IN MEXICO.

I always recommend this hotel to guests looking for help when we cannot accommodate them. I stayed there a few times, alone and with my daughter, and we loved it. The grounds are pretty, the hotel is clean, and it is in a great location. But the pool was what made it for us, we are not much for swimming in the sea. I too love the additions they've done.
It looks like those rooms in that new addition would have water views. What's great about Posada is that you get a chair and umbrella at a swimming beach! It's definitely on my short list for the solo part of my stay in July!
Agree it's good place-we stay there also, but, FYI-at the beach, only the chair is n/c. They charge $5 USD for the umbrella. Juanito at the beach will take care of you. Don't know if what they are calling the 'new, main building section' wing which is on the right in the pic is open yet.
I think the new section looks great! Have visited with friends that were staying there & enjoyed it!
It looks like a very nice and clean place to stay.
Looks great! Remember when you were pulling in on the ferry and the tallest thing on that side of the island was the lighthouse and the Posada Del Mar sign sticking up next to it?
Miss those days :(
