Church doings
Catholic church on La Isla
B and I went to a christening this morning at the big Catholic church downtown. There were probably 15 babies total. The whole experience was somewhat weird. A mixture of Catholic ceremony and Mexican chaos.
We were invited to the party afterwards. We didn't stay. We did notice that everybody who arrived was carrying a dish to pass. Seems that is the custom down here...bring food. Of course, we had not done this. Wouldn't it have been nice if the people I asked about christening protocol before this day had told me of this little detail?
At least we had a gift for the baby.
