A Quiet Moment

I have grown to really like Merida. She can at once be a bustling metropolis or turn around and be a quiet oasis.

From where I stay here, I have to pass by this quaint little park, Parque San Juan, on my way to the city center. I always take a few moments here to pause and relax. Mostly because by the time I get there, my legs are killing me, my hip joints feel like somebody is prodding them out with a blunt screwdriver and I can tell my blood pressure is starting to climb. Best to take a few moments to let my body catch its' collective breath.

If you are staying where I think you are staying. Go to the south west corner of C68 and catch any bus going by. They will take you near San Juan. On the way home catch the Amapola bus which is located on C 67 x 64 y 62. It stops right in front of my house. It is closer to C62. I usually walk to Centro and ride the bus back. That five minutes sitting in AC makes a big difference on my energy levels.
regards,
Theresa

What a plesant surprise to see your comment today. I have been checking about once a week. I spent a day on Isla about 25 years ago, so enjoy reading your blog. I have never been to Merida. So I look forward to anything you have to say. And especially your photos. They tell so much. Hope to read more in the days and weeks to come.
