Another Sunset

Last Thursday night I arranged to meet a new visitor to our island at Playa Sol for sunset. We had never met but she contacted me through our ad on CouchSurfing. It is a worldwide network where one offers the free use of a spare bed in their home to travelers. Contact me for more info. It is a great site and a great way to meet interesting people from around the world. Lexi was here winding down from an extensive tour throughout Mexico. She is from Romania and a professional photography and very, very interesting to talk to.

At any rate, I bought a new camera while I was recently NOB. A Kodak EasyShare Max. It is one of those big honkers that I can no longer hide in my pocket. I guess I have now moved up a level or two. It has a 30x zoom, which I will be demonstrating later. Watch out tourists!

The sunset was ho-hum, to say the least. But can there really be an ugly sunset here? Here are my top 5 favorite shots. Notice the lack of people on the beach at sunset this time of year.

This is my favorite of the group.

I know, dear readers, that I have been at the bottom of a hole recently with no way out. I think I have found a ladder though and am slowly making my way to the top. I certainly have a lot to talk about and share with you and I promise to be better now. Please stick with me.

I agree with Ann. There is no such thing as a bad sunset. Each sunset is special and unique in it's own way.
Welcome back!

And I am waiting for a photograph of that 30X zoom. Must be a nice-sized housing. Bigger than mine.

Thank you for the beautiful pictures! I wouldn't care if the sunset was beautiful or not, it's still of the beach and the water and a place I wish I could be!!!! Thanks for sharing!

What beautiful clouds!!!

I admit I am right now reading many, many older posts... I hadn't checked your blog (obviously) in quite a while, as you were not posting. Now that you are back, I WILL, 'cause I have always enjoyed your perspective!

On the other hand, I have not posted on my own blog in a month because of my own personal stress with issues with my Mom, but as with you, things are looking brighter, and I hope to have more time to devote to it now.
