So. Where are we? There could only be one choice, really. The Bays of Huatulco in Oaxaca!
When we decided we needed a vacation and a break from the house and the island, there was only one place that came to mind. (well, we thought of New York or Minnesconsin too, but I was just back in the States and didn't want to return so soon.)
So we were lucky enough to get a friend to housesit, loaded up the car and headed out for a four day drive to get here. Since we will be here for a month, we wanted to have the car with us. To be able to do things like visit a town an hour from here that has one of the biggest Monday markets along the coast. Guess where we are as you read this!
We have rented a condo for a month in the "town" of Santa Cruz and are quite pleased with our choice. Especially with the pool since it is hot here. But we are used to that. Even so....
Tomorrow I'll start telling you about the trip down here and share some of the pictures I took along the way. Thankfully, no bribes were paid and we didn't even get pulled over for inspection once! As Juan would say....Stay Tuned!

I remember you posting about Huatulco last year when you went for a few days, I think--sounds like it will be a great vacation--nice to be able to explore a little!
Great!! Can't wait to see the pictures!
You lucky devils!

Have a wonderful vacation. Can't wait to see all the pictures and read of your adventures.
I find it vaguely intriguing that you moved to "paradise" but vacaction in Hualtulco.
Whyd didn't you just move to Hualtulco and call that "paradise".
You are lucky hombres to be there while we are muddling through being in the United States.
I will have to live vicariously through your reports ;-)
Have a GREAT time amigo.
I am jealous. And that is against my nature. Suck it all up! My cabana boys says hi!
Lucky boys! Play nice, have fun, be safe and post lots of pics! Sending love from home....
Glad you're down there "checking it out". It sure couldn't be as hot as Laredo, Tx. was - good gosh, if hell is hotter, I don't want to go there!
Have fun and have one for me!
