Everyone Needs A Home

I was sweeping my back patio the other day. Not something I normally do. And I found this.

A tiny little seashell. I figured it had been blown in from the beach or something. How else could it have made its' way from the beach to my back patio?

The answer is simple, really. It was brought here by its's owner!

Very interesting! Made it quite a way from ocean across the road--must have thought your house would be a wonderful place to stay!

That is one brave crab, crossing the road from the ocean to your patio!

It knew it would be safe with Uncle Wayne!

Why does a hermit crab cross the road? (To get to the other side.) Maybe you should put a Hermit Crab Crossing sign out front.

A new puzzle: Why did the hermit crab (just guessing on that name) cross the road?

The hermit crabs fascinate me. Jiggs and I find them on our walks. We even found one in centro San Patricio on a main sidewalk -- just tooling along.

He is so cute! I hope you have adopted him and given him a name. He is a pretty smart crab.
