While in Huatulco, I developed a nasty rash and decided I better visit a local doctor. While waiting for the doctor to arrive, I poked my head into an adjoining waiting room.
And saw this:
Only in Mexico.

Real or Fake? or did you take the time to investigate?
Nothing extraordinary there .... just a different way of getting a shot.
O Robert
WOW! Thats pretty freakin scary!!!
Sorry to tell you, that rifle is not the doctors.
The doctor was really tied up and gagged in the closet.
The guy who treated you was really a armed robber!
So, what WAS in that shot he gave you then???
Todd
snort, good thing that getting a shot is not the same thing as getting shot, at least not in Spanish.

Theresa
kw: it was definitely real. That room had a wall of windows right by the bed. I kind of felt like I had walked into a Texas Book Repository.
O Robert: Yikes! The next time a doctor tells me I need a shot, I think I will ask for clarification!
zama: strangely, I did not find it as scary as I did just plain weird.
Todd: I never thought to ask. I just bent over.
Theresa: can you imagine if it were? Or even close? That could lead to some serious misunderstanding!
Okay, that's weird! But -- two different medical imaging offices I visited recently both had 'no firearms beyond this point' notices on the front door. That notice was a first for me! Guns must be more of a standard accessory down here in Arizona?
Ok, that made me snort too. I guess it's cheaper than treatment.
Maybe it was a Doc Holiday? Wait was he a dentist?
I guess that's what they have in mind if they can't treat you appropriately. A last resort kind of thing.
