This was my view when I mustered the energy to raise my head from the sand.
There was a couple there with the cutest little Schnauzer. They would take it out into the water and then it would come to shore, roll in the sand and then jump on this bed. Then it would scrap it's cute little sandy body from one end of it to the other. A guard finally had to come and tell them to get the thing off the bed. Afterall, these things are reserved for human use.
Loving this picture. Looks like I am in the sand dunes of Lake Michigan.
Can you tell what this is a picture of? Bear in mind that this photo is not retouched. It is just as it came from my camera.
Yup. The sky. An incredible shade of blue.
I'm sure glad we went to the beach Sunday because it has been overcast and windy since then. The water was very cold though. Or so I was told. I never left my blanket!

I just love it when you say it's cold SOB. Yeah, I know your blood is thin now. Would love to have seen the Schnauzer (my fav dog). Have you checked out bostontomexico blog. They have the two cutest Schnauzer's. Dunes of Lake Michigan Huh? did you climb them? Thanks for the beach pics. Much better than me sitting at my desk looking at the Detroit River. And COLD outside ..UGH ....
It looks like that area is rebuilding some sand? If so, that's a GOOD thing!
So nice to see some beach photos--we are entering our 3rd day without power from the ice storm that hit the East Coast....All the people around us have their power back, but we have trees on the power lines....
Hope the weather warms up before we arrive a week from tomorrow. I will be packing jeans and Sweatshirts though!! I've never packed a pair of jeans for Isla, but think I will this time.
After all my time in Mexico, I still marvel at the BLUE of the sky. Did you see the new moon last night?
kw: I like Shnauzers also but that wasn't the point here. The point was that these idiots were letting their dog rub all over the beds. Yes, I have read the blog you mention but they don't update enough to bother linking to them. And yes, not only have I walked the dunes of Lake Michigan, I once got lost in them for over 4 hours. Scary adventure, that was!
LAB: yes, some sand is rebuilding. We'll get into that later though!
jamqueen: I have been following your posts about the storm. Bad stuff.
trixie: you'll be glad you packed some warm stuff. If you need an extra blanket, let me know!
billie: that blue almost seems fake, doesn't it. I saw bits and pieces of the moon. It kept peeking out of the clouds but not good enough to get a good long look.
