I love it when the bougainvilla is in bloom all over the island. Great pieces of color snapping out for your attention.

WE LEFT THE RAT RACE EIGHT YEARS AGO AND RETIRED TO THIS LITTLE ISLAND IN THE CARIBBEAN. THIS IS MY ACCOUNT OF THE TRIALS, TRIBULATIONS, AND LITTLE JOYS OF LIVING IN MEXICO.

We have those - is that what they're called ;-)
Thank you Wayne for the day brightener! Awoke this morning in northern MN to an air temp. of minus 24 degrees and a wind chill of too low to want to know --- plus by mid-morning our "usual" winter grey sky. Am thinking you may all too well remember similar days. Sets one to appreciating even more what you now have. Savor it for me!
jamqueen: I love too that they come in so many colors!
Juan: you're kidding, right?
anonymous: i believe i still have some horrible memories of days you describe floating around in my brain somewhere!
I love bougainvilla too. I need to get a pic of one that is spilling over a wall near my home in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. We had a great rainy season and everytning is in bloom.
When aren't bougainvillea in bloom? It seems like they are every time that I have been on Isla. That would be every month except July and August.
