This has been a rather unusual trip for me regards lodging. I have been bouncing back and forth between the farm and the cabin in the woods. Actually, the cabin is one of the most beautiful rustic look homes I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. It belongs to my friend Summer's parents. They graciously hosted me, B and L for the week they were here. One could not ask for better hosts....or friends.
So get a fresh cup of coffee and take a walk with me through Carol's garden.
There. Wasn't that nice?

Beautiful garden.
Fabulous, absolutely fabulous! That chair out there .... nice place to sit and finish my coffee. Thanks Wayne, Hugs, Mi
Indeed, it was. Are those spiky purple flowers lavender?
Sigh....so lovely. Thanks for sharing. Hey, did you see this? http://countdowntomexico.blogspot.com/
very well deserved, I think!

What a great garden. It looks so natural, not at all pretentious and or formal. Carol’s got beautiful retreat in that garden.
Looks like a great place to sit and relax and drink that cup of coffee!!
Beautiful, Wayne! Thanks for sharing. :)
Steve, the spiky flowers look like Russian sage to me. Perovskia atriplicfolia, I think, it's been so long since I have seen it. A great drought resistant plant as are most of the flowers Wayne so graciously shared with us.
regards,
Theresa
Your pictures really miss my perennial beds back in New England. *sniff*
