Dancing Like the Stars

With the start of season 6 of Dancing With The Stars this week, I thought it appropriate to start this new series I have been working on. I call it Dancing Like The Stars.

In this series I will be presenting you with short videos of people dancing at the bars I go to downtown. Some will be good dancers, most will be bad. Some will be sober, most will be drunk. But all of them will THINK that they are good dancers! And, truth be known, some of them actually are.

We'll start the series with this couple I called "Mr and Mrs Hillbilly Flipover", mostly due to the cowboy hats they continuously wore. I missed getting it on film, but at one point in their dance routine (and it is a very practiced routine, never varied), he spins her around and grabs the back of her legs and tosses her over like a ferris wheel. All things considered, this couple was not bad.
They care about what they are doing and have practiced, practiced, practiced in order to win the applause of the appreciatively watching audience.

But the real star of this video is the chickeepoo on the sidelines to the left. Who thinks she is the gift. Even though all of her clothes must have been dirty because she chose to wear the top to her pajamas out for the evening.

On a scale of 10, I would give this couple a 7. What would you rate them?

Hi Wayne -

Love your blog. And like your new idea! I'd give the couple a 6.5 - might be higher if I could have seen all of what you describe.

The chickepoo a 2 - she's not really dancing, just moving to the music.

Oh, wait I forgot to rate them. Maybe a 7 on my scale. I was afraid she was going to poke his eyes out with her braid though!

All I kept thinking is that is a very dangerous place for an aquarium.

Couple 4.25

Chickeepoo 1 (for moving around); -5 for costume (Did she think it was Eliot Spitzer night? Maybe fireguy could combine his act with hers.)

I think 7 fits but if you had caught what you describe above - it surely would be higher ;-)

I'd agree with your rating of 7. Remind me not to dance while I'm there...at least not with you in video range. ;-)
