We are following Hurricane Felix very closely. At this point, we are not really concerned. He is predicted to pass way to our south. We might get a little wind and rain, but right now we don't even have plans to board up.
It sure didn't take long to become a Cat 5! Just a matter of hours really. As I checked it off and on throughout the day yesterday, it went from a TS to a Cat 5! Thankfully the radius is not as large as Dean.
I have heard that the first hurricane through sweeps an area clean for the rest of them and they all follow that same path. More or less. Looks like Felix is following the same path as Dean but maybe a little more south. Watch out Belize and Southern Yucatan.
