More news from the Pacific Coast

Wow. This Pacific Coast is really something. We have been slowly working our way down the coast, following Mexico Hwy 200. The biggest disappointment was the cliff divers in Acapulco. Most of the time spent for the ¨show¨was them climbing up the rocks to get to the platforms. I must admit, the few dives they did though were spectacular. The going is really slow. I expected nice a nice flat road following the coast. What we have gotten is a broken down two lane road wending its´way through the mountains that come right down to the sea and worse, tiny village after tiny village. Each with its´own set of speed bumps, of course. It took two days of driving to get from Acapulco to Puerto Escondido, where we are right now. Tomorrow we are off to the Hualtulco coastal area, where Y tu mama, tambien, was filmed. Expect to be back on our little island in 10 to 14 days. Then we head back inland to do some canyon rafting. Will post again at the next available opportunity.

Wayne,

what did you expect from Aca? ;-)
Even all the people from MX I know love it, I can not say that I really like it. It's just another big, loud and expensive mexican city that happens to be at the Pacific...
Nevertheless I hope you will have a good time visiting the next locations of your trip around MX. :-)

Regards from rainy Germany, Hollito
