And the bride chewed gum

It was a simple yet beautiful ceremony yesterday. No muss, no fuss. Just we love each other so let's get married. It's not like they just met. They have been living together for 10 years. I saw the groom out and about on the beach yesterday morning. He was gathering stuff to make the brides bouquet and headpiece. He wove little yellow flowers into a coconut fiber headband.

The ceremony was conducted on the beach in Spanish. They are both very fluent in Spanish. Their personal vows to each other were done in English.

Afterwards we all came back across the street to our house, shared a bottle of champagne and had some snacks. Then then left to go for a walk along the beach, holding hands the entire way.

And the bride never stopped nervously chewing her gum the whole time!
