Over this past weekend, the puppies turned four weeks old. They sure are getting fat and sassy! They recognize our faces and voices now. Another week and they should be totally weaned from Mama. She will be happy about that!
The only bad part is that Mama is no longer cleaning up their messes. Going through a lot of paper around here!
At this age it is important that they start experiencing new things. But gently. Different floor textures, different kinds of toys, different noises. But no loud noises at this point. To help them along, they got to go on a field trip to the big, scary front porch!
Four of them took to it like troopers. The first time they experienced the sun and a breeze. Two of them were not too sure at first but quickly decided that all that room to run was a good thing. One would not leave my side. Gonna have to work on that. We certainly do not want to raise any insecure puppies!
So, as best I could with the rambunctios lot, I took some pictures and a couple of videos of their first outing. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

Oh, I love it when they are just puppies! They are so adorable!
How adorable! The white one with brown and black markings at the gate is ready to go!
They are adorable with their baby bellies. I love the 3rd picture down. The little black and white dog who is sitting looks like he is a white dog wearing 3 black tires.
Oh yeah, mommie sure wants to cut those apron strings!
Nothing like puppies! I love the white one with black stripes on his/her face...and poor Mama can't wait to get some rest!
They are absolutely adorable! Poor MAMA, she want some ME time!
Too cute!!!! You guys must be having so much fun with them.
So cute!!
they are precious!! and you are being such a good papá! Sniff a puppy paw for me, I love the smell of puppy paws and puppy breath. I know, I'm weird.
Weird or not, Jonna, puppy breath and "sandpaper" licks from kittens are two of my favorite things. Cute post Wayne.
Great! They are adorable--I wish I could bring them all home!
Ohhhh! How precious! I ♥ puppies and I think we might actually be ready to adopt another.
The two playing with each other in the 2nd video are just too adorable. Also the brown and white one wants to see what is beyond the big scary porch.
How VERY lucky they are to have you at the beginning of their lives!!!!!
Awwwww....I love the little black ones. And what a sweet picture of the little guy with his chin on your leg.
Holy Smokes Wayne! THAT is one mixed batch of cute puppies!
Cheers!
