I still have so much to post about my trip through the Yucatan with Steve. And my visit to the Yucatan State Fair. And a few things about the island too!
I can tell high season has started. Most of us who live here full time can tell. Not by the increase of tourists but rather by the increase of sickness. Everywhere you go one encounters local residents with runny noses and or wet or dry coughs.
Like many Native American tribes, and indigenous peoples around the world, we seem to be very susceptible to any new virus brought here by the tourists. I am no exception.
I have been suffering from flu like symptoms for days now. Fever, chills, listlessness, no energy, bad cough. Although today seems like I might be turning the corner.
So I'll be back when I feel like my brain can function enough to accurately report on our trip.

I have heard from a couple of friends who are on Isla that they are sick. One friend said she finally started to feel better after about 4 days.
So sorry amigo - get well soon.
Get better. We have to plan another trip. As soon as I stop writing about our last one.
Get well soon Wayne! Must be the start of flu season. Ugh.
Feel better soon .. can't wait to read your great upcoming posts.
Hope you feel better soon, Wayne!
Jesse was out of school for a full week and it is now making its way through the rest of the family. One recovering, one almost recovered, one on the verge and 3 still fighting the good fight. :) Raw garlic is your friend.
Ugh! I hope you're feeling better soon.
