Turns out it was a statue of a Rottweiler. Probably placed there to deter would be thieves. Clever. At night, I'm sure you would never be able to tell it wasn't real.

From a distance I'm sure it looks very real--wouldn't want to take a chance with a dog like that!
Reminds me of a couple of 'real' roof dogs on Isla that live to scare the hell out of passersby!
Jejeje! Now all they need is a tape recording of a low growl!!!

I remember the Yucatan fair in Valladolid had several booths with hundreds of the same dog in many choices of colors. Seeing so many together almost caused me think that I must buy one...
