WE LEFT THE RAT RACE EIGHT YEARS AGO AND RETIRED TO THIS LITTLE ISLAND IN THE CARIBBEAN. THIS IS MY ACCOUNT OF THE TRIALS, TRIBULATIONS, AND LITTLE JOYS OF LIVING IN MEXICO.

One of my FAVORITE trees, but very messy. Pine trees always look so out of place next to palm trees. I'm pretty sure its called a "Norfalk Island Pine" so I guess it makes sense to find it on an island. :)
Kelly's right about pines and palms. There are neighborhoods down here that incorporate pines and it just looks so bizarre to me. And our neighbors have an illegal pine right on the other side of our wall by our pool equipment. Messy and it puts off a lot of bad pollen! Cool photo Wayne!
I've always love the courtyard at Nabalam. So tropically elegant at night. Many years ago it was 'The Place' for happy hour at the bar right in the courtyard.

Looks like the picture could have been taken here in NE! I have fond memories of staying at NaBalam ( before their prices skyrocketed )
