Just A Word

I'm so proud of my homeland today. All I can say is "Wow"!

Yes, I'm overjoyed that Barak won, but another thought occurred to me this morning:

Barak HAD to win ...if he hadn't, it would have been a confirmation not only to our own national psyche, but to that of the world that the past 8 years had been OK ...with no need to change.

You think we've looked like idiots up to THIS point ... sheesh....!

YEE HA as we say in Texas where, by the way Obama carried Houston 52% to 46% and swept out every single Republican judge!!!! Amazing.....

I am bittersweet. Incredibly saddened by AZ and CA but hopeful for the first time in 8 years.

I am not even an American and I am proud! But, yes the Hate Legislation called Prop 8 passed. The voters sent a mixed message...

A CNN commentator said Barack Obama caused people to assess their degree of racism, forcing many people to find it in their hearts to accept what they knew was right and cast off their business as usual racism. The commentator was much more eloquent about it.
