Reject Time Again

I have been grossly ignoring my other blog lately. Well, for over a month now. I hope to rectify that soon. In the meantime, here are some more of the photos from the trip last summer that did not make the cut. Hope you enjoy.

The Baja Ferry, top deck, as it pulls into port at Pichilinque, just north of La Paz.

Typical scenery of the deserts of the Baja.

One of the small bays in Baja on the Sea of Cortez. Great for swimming!

I get tired all over again just looking at this picture! This was the 190 step stairway to our bungalow in the hills of Puerto Angel.

Rooftop view in Acapulco.

These next two pictures are of the rocks that line one side of the beach at Juan Alvarez. This little town on the Pacific, about two hours south of Acapulco is where I would like to be right now. We would move there in a heartbeat if there were any kind of infrastructure.

The canyon walls of the Sumidora Canyon in Chiapas.

Aqua Azul in Chiapas, glimpsed from the road above.

Rooftops in Taxco, Guerrero.

On another note, I got my tank of gas yesterday. It only took one week!

Oooh lovely, I've been dying to go to Chiapas, it's supposed to be the most beautiful scenery in all of Me-hee-co!

kw: of course I like QR also or I wouldn't be living here. But truth be told, except for the coastline, QR is one of the ugliest states in Mexico.

anon: thanks for the correction on the spelling! I couldn't read the tiny print on the map I have but I knew somebody would jump in and fix it for me!

kelly: Chiapas is beautiful. I think it is overated though. There are some equally beautiful states, like Michoacan, Oaxaca and Veracruz, to name a few.

Wayne -- I enjoyed the photographs. And as for gas, I got it in about one year after eating my latest concoction.

Great photos for rejects. Those rocks, well wow!
I got tired just reading that you had to walk 190 stairs to your hotel room.
