Believe it or not, roads like this still exist on la isla. Except they go nowhere. Just dead ends. I have no problem driving them on my Honda Beat, but I sure wouldn't want to try to get a golf cart or car through all the enormous potholes! And no, I am not going to tell you where they are. I don't want them clogged with sightseers getting in the way of my motocross training!

Well, thank you, sir. Good to see you back in your blogacious mood.
Wayne,
I will keep your secret. We have traveled these spots on Isla. We love to hit the "back roads".
KW from Michigan
Don't blame you for not sharing, these look like good "get away from it all roads".
Lovely photos! And hey, are these hidden from everyone or can I see them if I use the secret handshake with you? :)
Looking forward to special post!
el oso: you really didn't expect me to publish a comment that tells people where these roads are, did you??
Steve: it was just a slight slip of purpose. I am definitely back.
kw: see, one can find them if you look! where are you from in MI? I grew up in western Mi.
Brenda: and, man, there are days when I just need to get away!
CC: If you use the secret handshake, you can stand and watch Max and I disappear around the corner for a joy ride! Bet he would give you 'tude then!
I know that spot very well - one of my favorites on Isla!! Got some great pics of the wrecks from there. This spot is a must on our "golf cart days" - and it's a piece of cake going around the potholes in a cart!
I know where they are too!! Maybe next trip I'll practice some motocross with you. I'll bring my own gear!
LOL Folks! Some of you are determined to give away all of my secrets, aren't you! If anybody wants to road race with me, bring it on!
