Ugh. Monday morning and back to reality. Or what passes as reality in my world! I made it home safely from my little weekend road trip. I had such a good time that I am going to have to split the tale into two blog posts! But you'll have to wait until tomorrow to hear about it. Just too many pictures to get through before I can post. Oh, and movies too! I do have to say a great big thank you to HiP though. She was a great hostess!
Yesterday we helped Ivan and Jenny (from Aluxes Coffee Shop) celebrate Mother's Day. I got back on the island at 11:45 AM and, as directed by several text messages, headed right for the coffee shop. I got to sit in the shade of my "office" and wait while they closed up shop and then we headed out for a very nice lunch. Afterwards we came back to our house and sat on the front porch, enjoying the view of the ocean, the warm southern breezes and each other's company for another four hours! Lots of laughter, lots of beer and lots of good friendship. Nice day. (so ok, maybe the lots of beer part has a little something to do with why I didn't get around to editing any pictures!)
I only had one mishap this past weekend and I am off to the bank to try to rectify that this morning. I used an ATM Sunday morning, got my money, got my receipt but did NOT get my card! Stupid machine just kept making whirring and chuggy noises and never spit it out! Man, I was pissed, to say the least. I'm not worried about anybody using it, but I hate to have to deal with this kind of stuff. It is just always so difficult here.
Have a great day and the adventure starts tomorrow!

Well, you are mighty brave to head to the bank to look for a card on the Monday morning after a holiday weekend!
Thanks again for coming to see me!! It was great to have you and I look forward to the next time when we can sit back making fun of people behind their backs for their bad taste. We're so snarky, we're awesome!
Welcome back, amigo. It is always good to see you in a posting mood. I am feeling almost overwhelmed at work, but posting and reading blogs has now turned into one of my great stress relievers.
Uuhh yeah...the banks in MX are a solid source of hassle for shure. ;-)
Even as a visitor to MX I was always "fed up" after visiting a bank - just as you said: "It is just always so difficult here."
I´m curious how this story will go on. :-)
