Seen on Isla

This house is located south of us, on the cliff banks. The first two times they tried to put the roof on, it rained and washed it all off. Seems to have taken hold now. I don't get it. Why would anybody want to put dirt and grass on the top of their house? Insulation? Just trying to be different? I guess only the owners and the architect know for sure!
