Maybe it's because I'm from the Midwest. Maybe because I don't totally understand the whole fishing thing. Either way, the fishermen nets piled up along the beaches always have fascinated me.
I'm sure there is a huge amount of organization going on here, but it just looks like a tangled mess of chaos to me.
What do you think?

I think it looks like a lot of hard work!
It sure does, better them than me!
I used to watch Captain Tony's father methodically sorting out the net, and then repairing any tears or holes. It seemed to take up much of his day. For me, untangling hammock cords present enough of a challenge.
I agree. I like your title, "Organized Chaos". I use, "Controlled Chaos" many times.
I think they unfold perfectly. I was amazed how the hammock sales force in Puerto Escondido - unwrap and wrap those things up.
To us commoners it just looks like a mess but...
Then they have the days when they spread tem all out & repair & then dump them back like that! Guess it works for them!
From an old parachutist, I vote "organized -- well-organized." My fitted sheets are not folded that efficiently.
I agree .. a big mess!
To quote Ellen DeGeneres... "If it's a mess...it's a hot mess."
Trust me those guys know exactly what they're doing!

I agree with Calypso ... it DOES look like, what my Mom used to say, "A Dog's Breakfast", but it isn't ....
think about it ... would they routinely create themselves daily havoc...????

Organizing a fishing net is like pushing a snake from the tail...easy to talk about, but hard to do.
I love that little spot! We often stayed at Cielito Lindo before we had the casa, and I loved sitting out on the balcony watching the fishermen in the morning.
Ahhhhh.... memories. Memories of a much more laid back Isla.
