Beware of falling coconuts!

That beach looks so darn inviting! I can feel my toes in the sand.
Yeah, getting beaned by a coconut tends to take the fun out of a day at the beach. :-)
We are hoping to come down to Isla again this summer...I long to stick my feet in that beautiful white sand!
(which reminds me, we at crepes at a place a number of times and I can't for the life of me remember the name of the place and I want to recommend it to a friend who will be there in April. The place was painted coral pink, had a little clothing boutique in the back and bookshelves lined her dining area. She cooked crepes out front...and older European lady. Her crepes were to DIE for...) Do you know the name of her restaurant? Mucho gracias!
Great photos! I saw some pics someone had taken downtown yesterday and I was amazed at the lack of people on the streets. And Playa Norte looks a little empty considering it's high season. Looks like you're in front of Maria del Mar. It still baffles me that a beach hotel won't provide free loungers for their guests. In this economy, I'd be changing that policy in a nano second!
I have always feared 'Death by Coconut' while on Isla. The loud thud they make when the slam into the sand is scary.

LAB: high season is about over. at least for NOB visitors. come the first of March the island really starts to dry up.
jeannie: me too! that's why I had all coconut palms removed from my property and replaced with less dangerous varieties!

We have a coconut palm in the front courtyard. I almost parked my truck right under it -- until I looked up and saw a version of your photograph. I moved it several feet over.
