I didn't discover it while...I love salchipapas! I didn't discover it while I was in Mexico...my husband is Peruvian and it's also very known in this country, although a bit different than the one shown above. They serve it with hot dogs too, and they put an egg on top, with homemade mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce with lemon. Here's the recipe: Cut food-product FUD dogs in half, deep fry in old used lard; when crunchy, remove and throw in frozen fries. Remove fries before they are heated all the way through. Delicious!
